Is There a Link Between Feng Shui and Bazi

The theory of Bazi lies at the core of Date Selection and many other Feng Shui techniques. Even if you are not interested in astrology (or Bazi in this case), you may find it useful to learn at least the basics to create a solid foundation for other metaphysical disciplines, which you may want to learn in the future.

Otherwise, you may find it difficult to dive into the worlds of I Ching, Feng Shui SanHe, or Date Selection without knowing the basics.

You probably already know that the main components of Feng Shui are time, location, property, and its residents. At least two of these components are tightly connected to Bazi.

The first one is time. You should know the dates of settling in, building construction, property purchase, or sale to determine how the energies will circulate within the house or around it.

The second component is residents of the property. Since different places affect people differently, the residents also influence Feng Shui. Bazi helps us to define the energy structure of a person, as well as the auspicious elements and directions that are unique to a person.

Lastly, I would recommend starting your Bazi journey by learning 10 Heavenly Stems and 12 Earthly Branches. Further, you will be able to identify your Day Master – by knowing it you may better understand yourself and the people around you.
